Join us for FPI’s FY 2020 Budget Briefing on February 12th

On Tuesday morning, February 12th, 2019, the Fiscal Policy Institute will present its twenty-ninth annual budget briefing in the Huxley Theater at the New York State Museum (Madison Avenue Side of the Empire State Plaza Concourse). The Huxley Theater is a bit more of a walk down the concourse than our usual locations, but it’s great venue, with a large screen and amphitheater seating.

A complimentary breakfast and check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. Our presentation begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m. We hope that you and/or members of your staff will be able to join us for what we are confident will be a useful and informative session.

The briefing will examine various aspects of the Governor’s Executive Budget and their impact on such topics as:

  • Income Inequality, State Finances and Tax Revenues
  • Human Services, Housing & Health
  • Education
  • Immigration
  • Economic Development
  • Local Government

We will also provide a Policy Recommendations Agenda for New York: FPI will outline progressive public policies that can be adopted to ensure that we create more shared opportunities to help lift New Yorkers out of poverty and provide avenues for upward mobility.
