Methodology for Public Charge Estimates

In Only the Wealthy Need Apply, the Fiscal Policy Institute estimated the fiscal and economic impacts of the Department of Homeland Security’s “public charge” rule. This 2019 paper updates an analysis that FPI first published in 2018. Presented here is the detailed methodology we used in making these estimates.
